While 2020 has been a trying time for most of us, I’ve had the fortunate opportunity to help tell the stories of those keeping New Orleans culture alive and thriving. Preservation Hall Foundation, the nonprofit tied to the legendary French Quarter venue, gave Community Engagement Grants to about 20 orgs and culture bearers doing the work to protect the magic of our city despite the troubles COVID-19 has caused.

I was blessed with the task of meeting some of these amazing people and telling their stories, documenting how they’re being resilient today and what cultural preservation looks like to them.

Check out the stories I’ve done (so far) below. And if you have the means, please do what you can to support and give credit to the ones who carry the torches for us all.
