I’d like to tell you all about the lives I live. These lives are parallel and quite different, yet they all have found their place.

Writer. A gift for writing made a newspaper my home. I found myself editing stories and doing some minor reporting—outside of my salesman responsibilities. In 2016, I took on the task of adding a creative piece of me to the world: I wrote, formatted, published, and sold hundreds of copies of my first poetry book, 25 Sense. Since then, I’m living a proper writer’s life these days, publishing articles and putting words together for art project purposes.

Businessman. I first got into media by selling quarter page ads for Loyola University New Orleans' Maroon newspaper in 2019 to his current role: publishing three hyperlocal news websites in New Orleans full-time. With a background in Marketing, Writing, and Mass Comm, Worthy knows how to keep the ball rolling for niche, independent media outlets.

Curator. Atypical LLC, a social event planning collective, was birthed from a desire to produce refreshing social experiences for young creatives and professionals in New Orleans. I’ve been a key component for each stage of most events there: brainstorming, branding, social media promotion, sponsorship acquisition, and, most importantly, follow through. I find joy in connecting people and creating spaces that help support culture.

I turn ideas into achievements.

My specialties include:

  • marketing & branding

  • social media planning & management

  • event planning

  • copywriting & editing

  • creative writing & story development

I like to bring ideas into fruition and build on both my strengths and weaknesses.
When mind and action move as one, there is no limit—not even the sky.

Writing Projects

I self-published my first poetry chapbook, 25 Sense, in June of 2016. This was a collection of poetry, prose, and anecdotes that I felt were my best work at 25 years of age. The book sold 100 copies in its first ten days and 200 in the first two months.

My second collection, Warm Vignettes, will be available June 2019. This one has more of a narrative, with the characters finding and maintaining new love in others and themselves.

For my third book and first writer’s collaboration, True & Living: Poems from The Fort, I connected with three other New Orleans-based writers of color to share, grow, and create together. We developed a safe space to express our talents so that we may invite the New Orleans writing community of all skill levels to do the same.

Copies of 25 Sense and preorders for Warm Vignettes and True & Living are available in my book store.
